The Center Education Foundation hosts a variety of events throughout the year, which connect our Yellowjacket family and raise funds to support our classroom teachers and students as they continue to learn and grow.

Events include:

A Center Celebration, the annual gala event that raises over $50,000 annually to support the Teacher Grant Program.

Homecoming, bringing over 200 alumni together to reconnect and celebrate with a tailgate dinner, tours of Center High School and the Center Museum, and cheering the Yellowjacket football team to another victory! Homecoming also features the induction of new members into the Center High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Fit58 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk, which is held in conjunction with the South KC Block Party at Red Bridge Shopping Center. The 5K Run features over 300 students, Center staff, family members, and community runners on a course through the neighborhoods around the shopping center in South Kansas City. The Mighty Marching Yellowjacket Band greets finishers as they complete the course. The race raises over $4,000 to support the Foundation's Teacher Grant program.
