Teacher Grant Program

The heart and soul of the Foundation's mission is to support the students and teachers of the Center School District by giving grants to teachers for projects that enhance student learning. In 2025 the Foundation awarded grants totaling over $40,000! The grants supported:

  • Sensory supplies for higher need scholars & resources to remodel an existing sensory room for more engaging, therapeutic and supportive environment for students with sensory processing challenges

  • Equipment to develop an Urban Forestry & Fisheries Science unit within Environmental Science classes

  • 4th and 5th grade students in Lego League

  • Students at the American Rocketry Challenge

  • T-shirts for the Chess Club

  • Supplies for Music Appreciation class

  • STEM competitions aimed at engaging and encouraging girls in STEM

  • Additional seating to offer seating options that accommodate different learning styles

  • Lexia an evidence-based online reading program to develop foundational literacy skills for 85 kindergarten and first grade students

  • Sports in the Classroom; an immersive, year-long, cross-curricular project that uses NFL football and sports as the lens through which students in a 2nd grade classroom explore literacy, math, STEM, social-emotional learning, and racial equity.

  • Student-led media production program that empowers students to explore storytelling, journalism, and digital content creation through hands-on experience with professional-grade equipment.
